It takes a lot of precision and careful control of heat, especially to avoid compromising the metal. Its doable, though usually what color can be promised is more a range than an exact kind. I can do exact because I can control the heat that precisely.
So I imagine even if your smiths know how to do it, it wouldn't be offered commonly since weapons are often in high demand in your world? It'd be either something done for fun or custom.
