He's certainly having some feelings. It's...its not anger. No, he's not angry. He doesn't want to go hurt Lucifer or anything like that. Its just...
"No, I don't." He pauses. "I will not have a problem with it. I am just..." He frowns and he pulls out the chair for Macaque and moves to get the food. "We are usually very honest, and I do not want to be....insincere. I think I just need....a minute to be sincere."
Macaque is trying not to be irritated by this, for the most part he succeeds.
"Why don't you just tell me what you're feeling? I don't want you to tell me what I want to hear just because I want to hear it. You're obviously upset or something. Talk to me."
"That is part of the problem. It is....several emotions at once," he said, laying out the food on the table, frowning and brow furrowed. "I am....glad he is back and that things are okay between you two. That your fears were unfounded. That is true. I just also feel..."
What is even this feeling? He thinks this might be the still lingering effects of social isolation.
Macaque looks at Red Son for a moment and then steps over to hug him.
"You didn't lose anything. I'm still yours. It's just that we can't all marry our partners at the same time."
"The good news is that I'm not ambivalent about wanting marriage anymore. I want to marry you, and I want children with you. It just took me time to realize that I wanted it, and talking the marriage idea over with Lucifer helped a great deal in that regard. So really, you're winning something, too."
Red Son hesitates a moment, considers, and decides that yes.
He still wants to hug Macaque.
He sighs, turning into him, wrapping his arms around his middle. "I know you can't marry us all at once. If nothing else, the logistic in the web alone would be such a nightmare, Noodle Boy will be convinced spiders are about," he said.
Oh. Though.
That.
Its good news. Great news.
Not making things clearer in his head.
"You are not lessening the rush of emotions, Mac," he said with a huff and buries his face against his shoulder. "I....that..." He takes another breath. "Maybe its because you're marrying him first? But Saya has had plenty of firsts before me, though maybe its because they were all before she met me....its..."
His grip tightens. "You know what? Tell me about it. How the proposal went and the like. Gush and maybe that will untangle the knot."
The hesitation is a little worrying, but it only lasts a moment. Macaque can grant Red Son that much. He understands what it's like to feel second, and how consuming it can be. And he wants to be comforting, but he doesn't know exactly how to go about it.
"I can't marry you all at once, but I do want that with you. I'd do it right now except that I don't fancy your parents' reaction if we did so without their express approval and participation. I do understand the reaction you're having, and it's okay." It's probably normal.
He kisses Red's temple. "It was pretty simple, but sweet. He decorated the duck pond area of the hotel with lights and we walked over the bridge and he did it there. I wasn't expecting it so soon, but I couldn't say yes fast enough. He had two rings, one with six ears for him to wear and one with six rings for me."
"There is also that. I absolutely cannot get married without them present, there would be an entire incident over it," he said. His mother would absolutely never forgive him and there may be a some blood match challenges. "Unless it was done via courtnapping, but I'm afraid being in another dimension would not count as a courtnapping by their standards, so the marriage would need to be back home."
"Six wings? Are those significant to him?" Red Son asked, he hasn't really had a chance to see Lucifer's wings. His fingers idly playing with Macaque's scarf. It always helps to keep his fingers moving while he's processing.
"I mean, if you want to be courtnapped, that could be arranged. I do specialize in surprises, as you know." He's just trying to lighten the mood a little, and maybe help Red feel a little more secure in the process. He's no less committed to any of his mates as he is to Lucifer.
"In that he has six of them, yes. I like the symmetry." Six wings, six ears. It's almost like they planned this.
Macaque allows Red to toy with his scarf and kisses his head again. "You know that I love you, right? I certainly hope so." Less than glowing reaction to this news and all.

"You have a problem with it?"
