If there was one thing Red Son knew, it was that Kantera, Saya, and him all had their own reasons for releasing themselves from their burdens for a while. He had debated back and forth on it for a while, but.
It might be really nice if used. And really, it was just learning some knot tying with spells, it couldn't be that hard to get through a workshop, right?
[ There's a familiar, amused hum from behind him. ]
You were going to attend this class and not invite me? I'm not sure what to think of that. But perhaps we'll get some ideas for how you can make it up to me, hm?
[ She helps herself to his arm. ] I'm surprised. And delighted. It's a good idea.
We might as well learn it together. I don't usually let people confine me, but this I can do, with the right person. [ Red Son isn't the only candidate for it, but he's one of them. ]
[Moving his arm so easier to take.] I took a while to decide on it. [So it should be a surprise, he struggled, but!!!]
[Kantera and Saya keep trying to help him destress, so! Either he can return the favor or make it Way Easy.]
[He will head into the workshop with her.] Neither do I, but I don't usually count rope as forceful confining. [When you can just burn things, its really not.]
[ She nuzzles his shoulder, this is terribly sweet. ]
There's not a mundane rope I can't break. That's not the point. It's that I don't let people. [ It doesn't have to be physically dangerous to be upsetting, anyway. ]
I should think trust matters in this sort of exercise. It's a vulnerable feeling, being tied down, even if one can break out of it. [ It's the vulnerability that tends to make people want to break free. ]
Everything is theory until you try it. And I can think of worse ways to relieve stress. [ Worst that can happen is someone isn't a fan, then you shrug and move on to the usual methods, like bloodletting. ]
It might feel vulnerable with rope. It could? Its complicated. [He rubs at his neck.] But with the spell, it seems like it could do a lot of good if it works out all right.
[He wouldn't have been considering it otherwise, but the magic made it just tempting enough.]
[ Her instinct doesn't like confinement, so get heart pounds as he works his way up her arms... yet it's not an unpleasant sensation at all. She relaxes into the feeling. The trust really does matter. ]
What ever will you do once I'm all trussed up, hm?
[ She glances over at him, less openly flirtatious and teasing than she usually might be. It's there, just -- less. This has her feeling vulnerable, and she's not as used to that. It's not at all disagreeable, just different. ]
[ Sometimes when the knots hitch, her breathing follows suit -- slightly. This is new, but she's no novice. ]
[ She eyes him down the long line of her tied arms, then tosses her head, and her hair lengthens until it's flowing down her back. ] I think getting my hair back and out of the way is probably a good start. [ She likes people playing with her hair, and hey, it's just one more knot. ]
If you want to use it for some of the tying, I can make it longer.
[He hums in thought.] I am rather good at complex hair styles. Even if it never sticks in my hair. [The flares up ruin most and its rare to go more than a few hours without something.]
[He tugs a knot taunt with one hand, the other reaching out to run through her hair.] I don't think it really works with the spell, but...it is a beautiful black.
From your mother, right? [ She remembers he said something about that when she was working her way through his tangled hair some time or another. ]
[ Saya's hair, like the rest of her physical self, is perfect. Dark and thick, soft. Sleek without being unpleasant to touch. She sighs when his hand slides through it. ] Not everything we're doing here is for the spell, is it? You've got me to do with what you will. Let's see how well you can wind and unwind me.
[He hums.] She loves ornate styles. Even her default hairstyle means making her hair look like bull horns. It took a while for me to be able to put it up efficiently. We used to help each other prepare for parties and we didn't have servants around.
Ah, well.
I mean.
There is only so much to be done at the workshop. [He's blushing, hair crackling.] But...y-yes, I suppose so. [He brings up a lot of her hair, letting it glide over his fingers.] And your hair is quite nice...
She sounds like she appreciates beauty. [ Saya can appreciate that. Although she doesn't consider herself terribly cultured, she can be -- she's confident and worldly enough to know how to carry herself. This particular waking cycle she's embraced her heritage, the fact that she's a Queen. It shows. ]
One can wind someone up a fair bit without doing anything overt. [ She glances at him over her shoulder with red-golden eyes. Which proves her point nicely. ] There's an art to it.
She does. She appreciates power more, but she also knows the power of beauty. She is one of the most beautiful and powerful demons in the world and not many would disagree with that. She taught me most of my skills for how to look beautiful.
[There is definitely more crackles, face growing red.] ...cheater. [There is no bite to his word, as he lightly twists her hair, circling it around her arms.]
I have a feeling I'll like her. [ Since Red Son promised they'd meet one day, she speaks as if it's a foregone conclusion. ] I've always seen the beauty in power. In fighting. There's an art to everything if one does it properly.
[ She laughs softly, watching with fascination as he uses her hair. ] You're aware I can't do that on demand? It's a happy accident. Or rather, evidence that you're fine at winding me up without anything untoward happening in front of prying eyes.

[There's the sparking, the blush bad enough to reach his neck.]
....I was thinking of it being a surprise. To help with stress.

I suppose that is also true.
....it is different.
Letting the rope actually mean something. I would think. Its very theoretical on my end.

It's definitely worth a try. It's a good idea, and I trust you.
[ She presents her hands. Get tying! ]

[He nods, picking up the rope the was provided. Every knot was to be represented of a worry or burden.]
[He loops the rope around hers wrists, a long her arms, placing knots carefully.]

Well.
I suppose it would only be fair to take care of whatever needs that comes up.
no subject
Should I compose a list as we go?
no subject
I do like lists.

[Red Son probably doesn't need to turn around to know that Kantera is smiling.]
no subject
[He really doesn't have to.]
I thought it might be a nice surprise. Potentially.

[He appreciates the sentiment, but clear communication about kink takes precedence.]
no subject
I don't mean surprise with tying up in the moment.
Just.
As an option to bring up, and knowing the help it could do ahead of time.
