[ He only burrows more against Red Son's shoulder. ]

I wouldn't doubt part of the problem he's jealous that I can be close to you in a way that's harder for him.

Even though its just proof how much care you want to take with him.

[His other arm wraps around him to squeeze, other hand still carding through his hair.]

You deserve to be cared for. If I can provide it, then you deserve it.

[ The booze, at least, is helping him feel things. And all he feels is miserable. MK showed him every bit of compassion and he went and tried to shortcut his brain into happiness and wrecked everything. ]

I know he's not happy that I can be close to you and Donnie 'nd Choco and not him. I wish I could explain what a miracle it is that I din't write him off totally b'cause I was pissed at Wukong. I tried, but...

[ Macaque accepts the comfort -- he's so selfish. He knows it. But right now he just want to feel better. ]

Why're you so good to me. [ It's not inflected as a question. ]

I really don't think he can. Frankly, I don't think he understands what a miracle it is that his presence pushed me to actually try and forgive Wukong. He has a powerful effect on people and he just...doesn't see it. Even when its explained.

Because you're good to me. Because you're lonely and I don't want you to be alone.

It'd be good if he could b'lieve the words people say once in a while. 'Course he believes the bad stuff. He prolly believes the nasty shit I said after he hit me. Which I din't mean, I was just...

[ Well, he just got clocked and told to fuck off. He was mad. ]

I don't want you to be around me out of pity. [ But he doesn't move. ]

Honestly, considering how much nasty stuff you must have said before he convinced you to be less of a bad guy, you'd think he'd be able to see through bullshit better.

Its empathy. I'm lonely too. You make me less lonely. Why wouldn't I want to return the favor?

[ There's a long sigh. He can't listen to Red defend him when he knows that what he did was indefensible. ]

Don't say things that make me wanna kiss you. 'Cause I will, and I'm drunk and I don't need you spinning out about whether I'd have still done it if I was sober.

If it was the first time, maybe. But we've been physically affectionate often enough that its...probably fine?

S'different when it's foreplay. Versus when it's just... kissing you because I wanna. S'why I haven't yet, even though I want too.

[There is a bit of heat as her hair flickers.]

[Debating the pros and cons. He's. Real messed up. He wants comfort. He takes a lot more comfort from physical than he lets on, at least Red Son suspects so.]

[ No kissing (yet) but he does take Red's hand and squeeze it. ]

You're awf'lly unsure about whether you want me to or would jus' put up with it 'cause I'm a mess.

[Listen, he's debating his own heart.]

[He huffs.]

[Decides his heart will be okay.]

[And instead squeezes his hand, and the other goes to his cheek and pulls him up to kiss him himself.]

[ For someone who was acting quite unsure about whether he wanted a kiss under these conditions, Macaque sure throws himself into it. Not even in a sloppy drunken way, just in a desperate and needy and has-been-wanting-to-do-this-for-awhile way. ]

[ His free hand moves to the back of Red Son's neck to keep him close. ]

[Its definitely intense.]

[Red Son figures he must really need the comfort. And while its doing funny things to his heart, he still wants to offer that comfort. He meant it when he said he wanted Macaque to not feel lonely. And part of being lonely is not having someone to offer comfort you so desperately crave.]

[His hand moves to the side of Macaque's neck, resting there, but kissing him back all the same. Letting his set the tone, but matching it, pressing hard and firm.]

[ Macaque had rested the bottle beside him, he shifts closer to Red Son and it overturns and tries to spill what's left, luckily there's not enough left in there to spill out unless it's upside down so it only clinks on the ground. ]

[ He murmurs his nickname for Red Son against his mouth and there's a low rumbling as he starts purring. ]

[ This is probably going to come back and bite him like everything has today. But his drunken brain stops thinking about the consequences and he just lets himself want. ]

Its okay, Mac. [Murmured against his lips.]

[Red Son wasn't sure if this was or was not a good idea. Maybe Macaque will freak out about this later. All he knows is he wants to make him feel better.]

[He ignores the bottle, hands going to Macaque's hips and will pull him onto his lap. Wrap his arms around him, hold him close as he continues to kiss him.]

[ He moves as Red Son guides him, pulling away from the kiss exactly as much as necessary to move and then diving back in again. ]

You really make me believe that. [ That it's okay. It's-- so good right now. Anytime, really, but especially right now. ]

[ The way Macaque kisses is open in a way he usually doesn't feel he can be, raw and emotional and passionate. Red is just what he needs right now and it's impossible not to get caught in the riptide and swept away. ]

Good. [He wants him to believe it. He wants to make things better for Macaque. Help him heal, find stability in whatever the hell is going on with him lately.]

[And if it means letting himself get swept along with the tide, that the walls don't exist and he falls because of it...]

[Its worth it. Even if it hurts later, its worth it right now.]

[His hands moving up, over Macaque's ears, a gentle cradling, but also help him focus on the now over anything else that might be happening in the world.]

[ His hands move to cup Red Son's face, and the way he's kissing him it's like all the walls fell at once. It's so-- nice. More than nice. ]

Tell me something good. [ He needs to hear something good. Hopefully not about MK since that is pure pain right now, but almost anything else will suffice. Perhaps brevity might be a smart idea because Macaque has no intention to stop throwing himself into the kiss. ]

[The kissing does make a challenge. Not MK, he's not that dense. Saya much the same. Not Wukong either. Pigeon Girl ritual stuff is more stress.]

[Oh, he knows.]

I got the anti-gravity engine part. [The part that would let an airship fly. He kisses Macaque back, a light teasing of teeth, gentle, more an invitation to explore deeper.]

[ Macaque takes the cue and scrapes his fangs against Red Son's mouth, shifting in his lap so they're flush against each other. ]

I love how brilliant you are. [ He may not be kissing like a drunk but he still is, words just slip out without overthinking their meaning. And it's the truth, although he'd usually use less charged wording. ]

[His breathing stutters.]

[He's drunk. Reminds himself of that.]

[Tries to not linger in how warm it makes him feel and he pulls Macaque closer, deepening the kiss, tongue pressing in as if to taste the booze for himself. A hand running up and down his back, the other still lightly toying with his ear.]

[ Macaque drops the glamours around his ears so that his can flick against Red Son's fingertips. This feels so different for whatever reason. Maybe it's the drunkenness? Maybe it's that they're not kissing as a way to get anywhere and just doing it for its own sake, for comfort, for closeness. ]

You're so important to me. [ It's hard to speak with a tongue in your mouth, and rather than sacrifice that very pleasant feeling, Macaque uses telepathy. ] I wish I could tell you before now.

[There's a hitch to his breathing as he hears the words in his head. Its a lot stronger when the voice is in the mind and there is surprise and there is want, not just want for him, but want to comfort him, to make him feel better, the want to ease that pain.]

Its okay. I'm here. I'm staying. [Its hard to talk with his tongue in someone else's mouth, and its also hard to think beyond the impulses.]

[ When Red Son "says" I'm staying there's a mental surge and it's accompanied by Macaque gasping and kissing him with renewed intensity. He never had anyone willing to say that before. Wukong never stayed. Even MK, after today it feels like everything he said to Macaque about being patient and not pushing was a lie since he cut and ran as soon as Macaque started pulling away just a bit. ]

I don't understand why you'd stay, but I know I want you to. Please stay.
